17-Year-Old pregnant Girl Shot In The Head, Baby Survives

A Chicago teen who was 5 1/2-months pregnant was fatally shot on Christmas Day in south suburban Dolton, but her baby survived the shooting.
The 17-year-old was shot in the back of the head in the 1100 block of East 152nd Street, according to Dolton Deputy Police Chief Abe Martinez.

The girl, Ibukun, (not real name) who was impregnated by her lover in another state where she lived with her paternal grandmother was said to have been brought to Ibadan when she started having complications with her pregnancy. Her mother, who got separated from her father last December, took her in to keep an eye on her, but with her meagre income of N250 per day which she earns as a cook assistant in a local cafetaria, the woman seemed incapable of taking care of Ibukun and her two younger brothers who were staying with her.
When Ibukun saw that life in Ibadan did not suit her, she decided to go back to Osogbo.

Baby Riley is safe after he was found starved by his parents nearly to death. The young couple, Justin and Brittany Alston were sentenced to 60 years in prison after it was discovered that they had starved Riley because they were too lazy to take care of him.

A woman who Chinese officials said was 127 years old – although international authorities never recognised the claim – has died, relatives said on Tuesday.

Mrs. Bose Bello, a 38-year old woman has asked the court to dissolve her 12-year-old marriage to her husband over his too much demand for sex according to PM News.
Mrs Bose who appeared before an Ejigbo customary court in Lagos said her husband has high libido and she couldn't cope any more with his sexual demands which could lead to her death.

According to the mother of two, when she complained to her husband, Kayode he sent her out of their matrimonial home, locked her shop, and brought in his lover, identified as Kate Ugwu who now lives with him as his wife, adding that as a result of closing her shop, all her goods expired and she has no money to start up the business again.
She also claimed that at a point her husband was making love to both of them in their matrimonial home.

She asked for the sum of N1.5million as compensation to move on with her life as she was tired of the relationship and no longer loves her husband.
Responding to her allegations, her husband Kayode admitted asking her to leave but said he did so because of her behaviour.
According to him, he started having problems with his wife, Bose when she told him that she wanted to cook separate food for his late wife’s two children and that's when he decided to send her away for the safety of those children. He also admitted that he has a lover whom he married after Bose left, claiming that his new wife gives him peace and rest of mind. He said he was no longer interested in the marriage and he was not ready to pay any compensation.
The court adjourned the matter till 27 January for judgment.

Virginia's attorney general will announce Thursday that he believes the state's ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional and that Virginia will ask a federal court to strike it down, The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

Human Body Parts Fall From Sky In Saudi Arabia

Human body parts fell from the sky in the Saudi city of Jeddah Sunday, with police saying they could be the remains of someone trapped in an aircraft’s undercarriage bay.

“Police received a telephone call at 2:30 am from a witness reporting the fall of human remains at an intersection in Mushrefa neighbourhood” in the Red Sea city, spokesman Nawaf bin Naser al-Bouq said in a statement.
Initial indications were that the remains “fell from a plane’s landing gear,” said Bouq, adding that investigations were ongoing.
